Embarrassment is for the birds.

There is a small tree in my backyard that my kids climb in the summer.
I was sitting on my back porch today when I noticed a large bird clutching onto the trunk of this tree. It was ka-ka-ing and pecking away when I moved my hand and it looked at me. He looked me right in the eye and squawked and as he did he lost his footing and fell off the tree. In an instant he was up and looking at me again. His eyed looked wider. I immediately felt sorry for him and looked away so that he wouldn't think I was laughing at him. He hopped over to the snow and pecked at it, glancing at me all the while like he meant to do that. Then hopped back to the tree and resumed his pecking.
This got me thinking. He sure looked embarrassed. Could he have really been? I mean, he's a bird, right? Do birds think like that? Then I just imagined this flock of birds flying around in formation and one of them is kind of daydreaming a little and wanders off course and slams into a window or pole and all the other birds are squawking and calling him dumbass and he's just like "Shit. They're never gonna let this one go."

future son in law

My son (C7) and I help out in my daughter's (A7) class every friday morning for a couple hours. I love the kids there, despite the fact that I don't like kids. I think it's because they think I'm cool so of course I'm going to like them. That is not the point.
There is a boy in her class who was also on her soccer team and they've always gotten along really well. I've been really fond of him because he's sweet and funny and always says hi to me. The last few weeks, A7 has come home and told me about something nice this boy did for her.
Today in class, C7 goes to sit in the sharing circle with all the other students. A7 goes to sit next to him and realizes there isn't any room. She (obviously) bursts into tears. This boy happens to be sitting next to C7 (because he always makes sure my son has a nice time in class) and as soon he notices A7 crying he scoots over and waves to her. She sits down in between them and he pats her back and tells her a joke to cheer her up.
That's when I fell in love with him. I absolutely adore this kid. I wanna bear hug him. At that moment I saw he and A7 playing together in my backyard 3 years from now, studying for a test together 5 years from now, going to dances together 10 years from now and getting married 20 years from now/becoming BFFLs like Rick and me.
Anyway I love this kid. He's a good kid. He better effing marry my daughter...

Choice Music for face rubbing and hair pulling.

I've been deliberating on what music I should play at my spa. For facials I know I'll be playing some slow Enya shit, but I'd like to add some slower, soft songs I enjoy listening to in the 2000s. Maybe some KoC and Iron and Wine sort of stuff. I need help with this.
For waxing I'm going 80's all the way. It's a quick, perfunctory service so I'd like faster music and 80's music doesn't have a lot of swearing in it. Anyway, now I'm freaking out about it. Of all things I should be worrying about when opening a business, I'm worrying about how much 80's pop I have on iTunes...

Camr7n's joke of the day

C7: Knock Knock
E7: Who's there?
C7: Dwayne
E7: Dwayne who?
C7: I'm drowning in the bathtub, will you help me out?
E7: ......no

Where the hell have you been?

I think I'm back...
